Do Not Anticipate Sony to Reveal the PlayStation 5 at E3 This Year

report from time to time, and just recently those talks have concentrated on PlayStation 5. Speculation began > last March as Damian Thong recommended Sony may release the follower to the PS4 as early as this year. If you were holding out hope on the possibility new hardware would make way, you’ll have to look somewhere else. Sony actioned in to verify the console won’t make a look at this year’s E3.

More to the point, PlayStation head Shawn Layden squashed the reports. On the PlayStation Blogcast he mentions(beginning at 10:44) “there will be no new hardware statements at E3 this year.” It does not get any better than verification from the man himself. Instead, Sony will focus on its catalog of video games from a range of designers at this year’s event.

It’s hardly a surprising discovery considering the PS4 Pro is still discovering its stride. Not to discuss it only launched a little over 2 years ago. Both it and the initial console have plenty to give before handing over the reigns to the next in line.

Obviously that raises the apparent question: when will the PS5 entered the spotlight? Last July saw another research analyst taking a swing at predicting its release. The next platform is currently in the working phases and it will be interesting to see exactly what’s next.

2019 and 2020 appearance to be the finest chances for new hardware exposes. As for our own speculation, the next generation consoles are most likely to be powerhouses. With 4K TVs making their way into more homes, it will no doubt be a centerpiece for next-gen consoles.

With that in mind, the amount of RAM onboard would have to double. Hard disk drive area ought to do the same, with 1-2TB of storage as the bare minimum. With solid-state drives (SSD) making as big of an effect, it would not amaze us if the next platforms utilized the storage medium.

The reality of the matter is this: PlayStation 5 is coming– it’s simply a matter of when.
