The CW announced awhile ago that Batwoman would be the centre of attention for their annual Arrowverse crossover event, and now we know that Ruby Rose will be playing the red-headed super-heroine.

CW’s Arrowverse currently consists of four shows, “The Flash,” “Arrow,” “Legends of Tomorrow,” and “Supergirl.” They also have “Black Lightening” on their schedule, but at the moment it’s not included in their crossovers. For the last couple of years the four shows have held an annual crossover, where the heroes get together to save the world from some sort of big bad. This years crossover will focus on Batwoman in some way.

Batwoman is also known as Kate Kane, a woman who is passionate about social justice and isn’t afraid to let her opinions be known. She’s an openly lesbian character who is also a trained street-fighter. In the comics she’s on the same side as Batman, but tends to take things a little further than he does. If the character is a hit in the crossover, and there is no reason to believe she won’t be, The CW plans to spin her off into her own series starting for the 2019-2020 season.

Rose is an Australian actress who is known for her roles in “Orange Is the New Black,” “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter,” “xXx: Return of Xander Cage,” “John Wick: Chapter 2,” and “Pitch Perfect 3.” She is also starring in the upcoming film “The Meg.”
