South African Tourism’s 2017 travel trade activity in numbers

In 2017, South African Tourist invested more than ever in UK and Irish travel trade activities to promote South Africa as the ultimate vacation location through training occasions, roadshows, workshops and orientation trips.

As a result of the tourist body’s travel trade program in 2017, a record-breaking 900 travel agents were trained on the location in 8 cities throughout the UK and Ireland, with 36 representatives hosted in South Africa on 6 separate FAM journeys, visiting holidaymaker favourites of Cape Town, the Garden Path, Gauteng, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal.
